14 day Challenge

I wanted to start a 14 day challenge yesterday, but circumstances beyond my control prevented me, so I'm starting it today.

I will not eat any junk food (chips or chocolate) for 14 days.

Since completing my 15 day Cleanse, I find that I've been munching on junk way more than before and I need to put a stop to it. I'm not saying I'll never eat junk again, I just need to cut back, so eliminating it for 2 weeks will help me.

The countdown is on

Only 4 more days until I start the "Master Cleanse."

I decided, a while back, that I wanted to do a 10 day Master Cleanse to rid my body of many of the toxins that it has accumulated over my 40 years. That start day is February 1, 2010. Monday.

For 10 days, I will only consume a lemon-maple syrup-cayenne drink that is suppose to help release any toxins found into my body so that I may flush them out. From what I've been reading about the Master Cleanse, it won't be easy, but it will be rewarding once it is over.

During the cleanse, I will try to post progress reports on how it is going.

If you are interested in reading more about the Master Cleanse, check out the website dedicated to it.

Should be fun.

10 day Challenge - Update

Well I made it through my 10 day challenge without too much of a hassle. I had originally set the rule of no junk food or pop, but thought I had stated no chips, chocolate or pop. I did have a few gummy candies (3) and some Nacho chips with dip, last Friday night (during a home poker game), but overall, I did avoid all chips, chocolates and pop, so I'm happy with it.

On Sunday I broke down (after the challenge was over) and had a handful of chips during the football game, as well, a few more chips yesterday during my kids snack time. Still haven't had pop though and I will try to keep that going for a while longer.

10 day challenge

After feeling sluggish during my last run, I've decided to issue myself a 10 day challenge.

I will not eat any junk food or drink any pop for the next 10 days.

That is it. Let's see how I do.
